The Cyprus Institute of Neurology & Genetics (CING) is the most advanced Medical/ Biomedical organization in Cyprus that provides services to more than 7000 patients annually. Its most recent achievements include the creation of Cyprus’s first Chair of Bioinformatics (EU H2020 ERA Chair Grant, BIORISE), the expansion into new state-of-the-art facilities, and the establishment of a Translational Medicine Research & Innovation Centre supported from the European Investment Bank. The CING receives international recognition for its high-quality services, innovative research and postgraduate education. It has experience in coordinating projects, as well as in offering MSc and PhD accredited programmes in collaboration with national and international education institutions with the use of European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) values for more than 30 years. It has been awarded with the ERASMUS Charter for Higher Education and all of its students and staff have access to the ERASMUS+ programme (KA1). The CING is actively pursuing and supporting gender equality and currently holds several related accreditations, such as the “Equality Employer”, “HR Excellence in Research”, and the “Sound Industrial Relations” standard.

The University of Groningen (RUG) has a rich academic tradition dating back to 1614. Nowadays, the University has some 30.000 students, 5.500 members of staff, among which 480 professors, 10 faculties, and 9 graduate schools. The University of Groningen belongs to the top 100 universities worldwide, while in the EU it belongs to the top 25. The Center for STEM Learning and Teaching (CLT) of the University aims to enhance the quality of education at the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE) by promoting innovative education and professionalization. The Center has a primary mission to provide leadership and support for the FSE staff community to promote student engagement and learning. Through the Center, they strive to foster an inclusive community of students and staff that utilizes contemporary learning theories, evidence-based education, teaching innovations, design-based methods, and interdisciplinarity. CLT currently serves as a partner on 3 EU-H2020 projects and as a coordinator 6 EU-Erasmus+ KA2 projects. It has great experience also in STEAM approaches and (trans)gender- inclusive education, design, research and policy.

Be an Ally Foundation (BEAF) is a non-profit organization in Cyprus dedicated to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion. Its mission is to challenge and transform societal norms that hinder equal opportunities for all. The organization’s flagship nonprofit initiative, Girls in STEAM Academy, has been running since 2021 and is designed to bridge the gender gap prevalent in STEAM fields. Its vision for Girls in STEAM Academy is to empower young girls and women to pursue and emerge as leaders in STEAM disciplines, achieved through comprehensive training/educational programs, networking activities offered to the organization’s beneficiaries and awareness raising actions. Since 2021, eleven BridgeSTEAM programs have been conducted across various locations in Cyprus, with more than 160 girls participating.

The Directorate of Secondary Education of Western Thessaloniki (D.S.E. D.D.E. of Western Thessaloniki) is a regional public body that has administrative and educational oversight of 158 schools, involving more than 4,000 teachers and 35,000 students. The majority of schools belong to the general education system with students aged 12 to 18, but it also supervises vocational schools, special educational needs (special education schools) and adult education (evening high schools and vocational high schools). The role of the Directorate is as important as it is multifaceted: it includes providing all administrative and financial support to the schools under its supervision, as well as providing pedagogical and scientific assistance through various agencies and structures. As a result of the role it fulfills, the Directorate has developed significant administrative skills, not only in matters critical to the operation of schools, but also in large programs, such as the NSRF and Erasmus+ programs, which are co-financed by the European Union.

Quality Culture’s mission is to support the green and digital transition and social inclusion in Europe, unlocking people’s potential. They are committed to gender equality – in particular, aiming at reducing the large gender gap in the Italian job market – and environmental sustainability values in line with the 17 SDGs. Quality Culture provides training programmes both for formal and nonformal education, designed to empower people, with a focus on disadvantaged target groups. The key staff has vast experience in management of complex projects co-financed by the European Union and other institutions, such as the EEA & Norway Grants, Erasmus+, Horizon. One of the expertise of the organization is the 3H methodology (Head, Heart, Hands), an educational and training approach that emphasizes holistic learning.
